Verde Group Supports international port of entry at Lomas del Poleo-Sunland Park

DESPITE VERDE GROUP denials that their development projects at Santa Teresa (where they own 21,000 acres) and Sunland Park (where they own 5,000 acres) have nothing to do with development projects immediately across the border [see Verde letter], here is one more piece of evidence to the contrary.

It's a letter of support for the Anapra-Sunland Park port of entry dated February 20, 2007 sent to Sunland Park mayor Ruben Segura by Verde Group vice-president Gilbert Mesa. The proposed six lane highway that leads to the Anapra crossing, according to Juárez officials, will first pass through the Lomas del Poleo mesa. The letter states that "Verde owns land adjacent to the proposed Port of Entry location and along the proposed route for the connecting roadway to Sunland Park Drive."

Again, this is just one more piece of evidence showing how the binational real-estate development projects the Verde Group will profit from are connected to similar projects in Lomas del Poleo.
